Well, I thought that this year might be different and my 7th grader would step up to the plate and just sit down and do his homework without a fuss. Sigh... Apparently, that was wishful thinking. I am now going to bed and it is still not all done. To make it worse, his 3rd grade brother threw a big fit about his homework at it was only a word search. Go figure. I would have loved to get a word search for homework when I was in school. Thank goodness the girls are cheerfully doing theirs. And yes, I was drinking wine tonight, but still managed to take the dogs for a walk. Tomorrow, I volunteer in the school library. Good night, and remember, a glass of wine never killed anybody.

Ok, tonight I have only had 5 glasses of wine. Of course. there are different size glasses, 4, 5, or 6 oz. Mine are 5. so whatever. However, we were on time for mass today and actually got a room painted! The kids are in bed before 11 pm. That's a good thing, right? One of these days, I am going to put up a survey to determine just how many of us are worthless housewives...

It is 12:22am and I am on my 6th glass of wine (that's not counting the 3 beers I had while trying to refinish some old furniture.) The kids are all in bed (except for my sulky preteen) and the Olympics have been well and duly watched and cheered for. And yes, I do stand for the national anthem of the USA. I even put my hand over my heart. Can't get sulky boy to do it, but the younger ones will.
The dishes are done, the floors are more or less swept, and 2 out of three toilets are clean. I would have vacuumed, but my back hurt. As for dusting, well, I never did see the point since the dust just comes right back. According to my husband, I am a worthless housewife. Ah well, so be it. What I want to know, is just how many of me there are out there? And am I the only one who drinks as much as I do? lol
